Pipit.

pipit

Pipit is a duo comprises of talented designers Mike and Ivery. They have their own booth at the recent Rantai Art event and their stuff sure looks yummy & fresh. But due to time constraint and the sardine-like atmosphere, I decided to cancel my plan to drop by their booth for a chat. So, what is Pipit actually? Is it that small bird that we can found almost everywhere, here, in Malaysia? They describe themselves as a team that actively support independent artist and signer. They promote art design related project, exibition and any other type of creative activities. Thanks to Mike for answering my questions.

Q. Can you tell me more about you guys. Did you have any formal training/education on graphic design?
A. We are independent team of supporting the independent artist and designer based in KL. Yes, we do. I am a 3D artist graduated from The One Academy and Ivery is a layout artist.

Q. So, Mike and Ivery, how long have you known each other? What Pipit, any story behind the name?
A. Me and Ivery know each other since secondary school. Pipit actually is from a Chinese phrase that means pipit (type of bird), although is a small bird but it has the speciality . It means although we are small team, but we are passionate about art & design and fully support independent artist and designer.

A. Yes, we hope to see more and more art design related event and community to keep the local creative scene move on and getting better. We also wish to see the artist and designer actively involve themself to it.
